WHY IS OPTIMUM HEALTH BALANCE UNIQUE?
Optimum Health Balance has several features
which distinguish it from other branches of kinesiology,
though some are similar in certain aspects. Overall,
the OHB philosophy of "KEEP IT SIMPLE" makes
it a very attractive way of working to other kinesiologists.
1. The use of
vibrational symbols
The practitioner has a series of cards
containing symbols. The vibration of each symbol represents
a particular imbalance on all levels. For example, the
symbols for stress and pain shown below:
When these symbols are placed on the
body and monitored by a simple muscle test using your
arm, they form a symbolic language which allows an in-depth
conversation with the body on all levels. A strong muscle
will become weaker if the symbols are relevant.
For example, if the symbol for pain
shows, this imbalance may be in the energy field as
the client may not necessarily be experiencing physical
pain at the time. It may relate to a past `image' of
pain, or emotional rather than physical pain. The symbols
replace the finger modes used in many other kinesiologies,
making the balance simpler.
Although this can seem a bit far-fetched
at first, if we reflect on how we feel when we look
at certain pictures or shapes, such as the pattern of
the seeds in a sunflower, or the black jagged shape
an warning signs for electricity, we get a sense of
the different vibrational qualities associated with
a symbol.
2. Balancing methods
Energy is generally channelled through
the hands of the therapist, through a healing icon placed
on the body or in the energy field above it. Usually
only one balancing technique is needed. Unlike the muscle
massage or the physical adjustments used by physiotherapists,
osteopaths and chiropractors, the balancing techniques
used in OHB are very light and may not even involve
physical contact with your body.
3. Goal of the OHB balance
-physical mental/emotional,
chemical/nutritional, spiritual and electromagnetic
The underlying goal of every balance
is the optimum health of the client on all levels. In
the basic balance there is no stated goal, although
the client's issues are addressed after the priorities
identified by the body have been recorded into body
awareness.
4. Conscious and subconscious agendas
In many chronic illnesses, there are
often underlying subconscious agendas which keep the
client stuck in their pattern. For example, a migraine
attack may have the subconscious advantage of enabling
the client to rest. Being unwell is then easier than
saying 'No' to certain demands and risking disapproval.
Conscious and subconscious agendas are checked at every
step in the balance using a Scan Card which among other
things, has symbols for sabotage, hidden agenda and
regression.
5. The use of reference points to
monitor change
Five OHB readings are taken at the
beginning and end of the balance to monitor change.

6. Balances for specific issues
The OHB system includes balances for
specific issues such as Weight Control, Life Focus,
Optimum Brain Function, Wholeness, Primary Vibration
and many more. Many practitioners of other therapies
add aspects of their own approaches into the system.
7. Foreign Energy clearance
The term Foreign Energy is used in
OHB to describe the presence of any energetic pattern
in the client's energy field which has a negative effect.
It is usually present whenever a person is stuck at
any level and experiences recurring or persistent problems.
These could be mood swings, physical pains which resist
lasting correction, fear for no apparent reason, recurring
migraine or eczema, schizoid tendencies or irrational
outbursts over which the person feels they have little
control.
The OHB approach, checks for Foreign
Energy at the beginning and throughout the balance and
uses corrections to release it. In particular, the inclusion
within the OHB balance of checks for psychological reversals,
sabotage and Foreign Energy mean that persistent problems
can disappear overnight and not return.
Obviously this is a great relief to many clients, particularly
when the balance helps them understand any psychological
implications behind their problem.
